- Personality: Hotaru is portrayed as a weak and sickly girl in Sailor Moon S, for she is possessed by an evil force known as Mistress 9. After the evil being is vanquished however, Hotaru becomes strong and healthy once more. Although Hotaru is a gentle soul and appears weaker than any of the other senshi, she actually has the power to destroy an entire planet. She is Chibi-Usa's best friend.
